NASHVILLE PROPOSAL LOCATIONS

Couple during a surprise proposal at a scenic Nashville location

Proposals are becoming more and more elaborate over the years with everyone’s love stories being made public. Some partners feel they have to go above and beyond to surprise, overwhelm, and make sure it’s all in front of the perfect backdrop.

My husband tried a (few) times to make that perfect proposal happen and every time it was ruined by a bad meal or bigger crowds surrounding us than anticipated. In the end, we went to our first date spot (shoutout to Frothy Monkey) and when we were walking to our car in the rain, he gave me a big hug and went down on one knee in a parking lot. It was perfect and as simple as it sounds, it’s unforgettable.

I thought I would put together a list of the spots that have been successful for the couples I have photographed here in Nashville, TN.

Some require more planning than others, but all are easy to access, beautiful backdrops, and have multiple places we can take photos afterwards. I always include a 20/30 minute session after the proposal to have a few you can share with friends and family that give more engagement session vibes.

Cheekwood

You want a fairytale proposal? Cheekwood’s property is your pot of gold. Depending on the season you are there, they will have different backdrops. * This location requires a fee and a scheduled session/ timed entry.

John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge

Most out of town guests crave a city view for their proposal and this is one of the best, besides a downtown bar/hotel. The only advice for this location is making sure there isn’t a festival going on nearby or a Titan’s game.

Percy Warner Park Stairs

This park is so beautiful and somewhat newly renovated! There are plenty of park backgrounds to take photos afterwards or if you want to take a peaceful walk in one of the best Middle Tennessee parks.

Downtown Franklin,TN

Franklin is as charming as it gets. So many cute corners all around this town to make a fiancé 🙂

NunaVeda Greenhouse

Set in the countryside of Leiper’s Fork, this greenhouse pairs medicinal botanicals with timeless design, offering an elevated, light-filled setting for proposals, elopements, and editorial storytelling near Nashville.

Arrington Vineyards

Looking for somewhere away from the city with a countryside view? This is one of my favorite wineries and I have shot so many successful proposals here. FYI: They recently required couples to reach out to them prior to get approval

Centennial Park

With the backdrop of a replica of the Parthenon behind you, this is a very romantic Nashville location to propose.
