I have been hearing from countless brides that they don’t know who to book for catering or that they have reached out to 10+ caterers and they are all booked. I’ve always been a little biased towards southern food/ bbq being here in Nashville with so many great options, but no matter what your taste, hopefully this post helps you gather a few more to put on your list.
Dinner can be so overlooked as you begin planning for your biggest party. Thinking of the venue, planner, photographer, and DJ usually are the most important to brides. Let it be known, that we all have been to weddings where there was not a full meal served and we left hungry. I know $17-$25/plate can be daunting but there are ways around that if you choose to stay with a lower budget for food. Try to mix in some carb friendly 🙂 side dishes in the menu to help guests feel more full and in return want to stay all night and dance with you!
So many of the Nashville caterers I have worked with have so many options when it comes to accommodating different diets and allergies. Make sure you ask about those options when beginning your search.
Lastly, keep an open mind. A lot of my brides have surprised me with their originality on this topic. Whether it’s a charcuterie board for appetizers, food truck, or tapas, there is no one way to do catering.
Here are some of my favorite Nashville caterers:
Edleys BBQ– I will always be biased of this one because it is what we chose for our wedding. We did a few different meat choices (turkey & pork), their mac & cheese, bean salad,& rolls. They have options to upgrade to more sides, appetizers, and desserts. They were so good with communication, amazing tasting, and overdelivered.
IL Forno– 3 words. Wood Fired Pizza. They have a mobile oven that they can bring to your event and customize each pizza. This year they opened their first restaurant and everything on their menu is to die for.
Mojo’s Tacos– Some of the best tacos in the Middle Tennessee area. Their homemade tortillas and super original take on tacos are so yum.
Cheese Gal– For the most beautiful cheeseboard you will ever witness.
Flavor Catering– “Our desire is to customize a menu that exceeds your expectations and represents the style of service you are looking for. We try our best to serve without limitations by providing the most colorful, flavorful and exceptional cuisine possible at each event. If a client wants to eat it, we’ll find a way to serve it in the most tantalizing and cost-efficient way possible.”
G Catering– “Every couple’s taste palates are unique, so we invite all of our couples to experience our service and cuisine for themselves in our exclusive glass wall tasting room overlooking our production kitchen.”
Chef Penelope– This is probably the most popular catering service I have seen in the last few years at weddings and they are amazing to work with. They have a massive menu to fit your needs.
